Apostle Sonja Carter is a Spirit-Filled Preacher/Teacher of God’s Word, with an Apostolic and Prophetic mantle upon her life.  Her love and devotion to God is contagious. People’s lives and regions are Transformed, Revived and Renewed in a paramount way as she ministers in the atmosphere of God’s Fire and Glory.

She is the Senior Leader/Overseer of Kingdom Apostolic International, Inc. located in Miami, Florida She has been called and commissioned by God to impart, to train, develop, equip and activate the Saints of God to do the works of ministry. Her heart is for God’s will to be done and His Kingdom to come on earth as it is in Heaven.

Apostle Carter was born and educated in Miami, Florida.  She is the mother of three adult children and the grandmother of 11.  After receiving the call to full-time ministry with much supplication and the leading of the Holy Spirit, she retired from the Department of Miami-Dade Corrections and Rehabilitation with twenty years of service as a Correctional Officer.  She attended Billy Graham School of Evangelism, receiving a certificate in Evangelism. Apostle Carter is a graduate of Andersonville Theological Seminary, where she received her AA and BA degrees in Biblical Studies. She is a Certified Professional Life Coach, a Certified Temperament Counselor, a SYMBIS (Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts) Facilitator, and a Licensed Clinical Pastoral Counselor.  She holds a Master's Degree in Christian Counseling and is a member of both the National Christian Counselors Association and the Sarasota Academy of Christian Counselors.  She is also an Author - her first book is titled: “Loving You Almost Cost me---ME”.

Working Ministry has become her life; Apostle Carter has been in ministry over 38 years. She was called and afforded the opportunity to serve as a Servant Leader in various offices within the fivefold ministry.  In 1985 she received the initial call to ministry where she worked ministry under the Leadership of Dr. Michaleane Lightbourn of Believers Life Ministries, Miami, Florida.  She headed the Prison Ministry, served on Meals Mission Team, the Ministry Board as well as the Choir.  As she continued to make full proof of her ministry gifts, on January 10th, 1993, she was ordained as an Evangelist.  In July 1996 she founded “Destiny Women of the Lamb” Women’s Ministry.  She was ordained in the Pastoral office on May 4th, 1997, and on February 24th, 2002, she was ordained in the Five-Fold Office of Prophet.  In June 2007 she was called and installed to the office of Apostle.  Her ultimate goal is to mobilize and launch believers into the works of ministry - evangelizing and winning souls for the Kingdom of God.

Apostle Sonja Carter believes strongly in the power of prayer. She knows her God given assignment, and she leads God’s people on to His agenda through the Word of God. She empowers the believers by encouraging a lifestyle of love, holiness, and humility; while exercising their God given Power, and Authority, through obedience and commitment for Kingdom Advancement in the earth realm.  She is truly a woman of God’s grace and an example of His love.  Apostle Carter has traveled extensively in the United States, as well as abroad, ministering the Word of God in Power and Demonstration.
